MDX-travaganza

My white Honda Accord went to the dealership and didn't come home. I'll miss that car, but now that I'm driving my new Acura MDX I don't miss it much.

When we saw this car we were very excited and after some conversation decided that we wanted it to be in our garage...our freezer needed company. I'll update with photos soon. It's awesome and has every extra that we could imagine.

Valentine’s Day, again…

WOW – Valentine’s Day just keeps on giving. Check out my new treadmill
It was delivered the day after my freezer.

I can’t wait to use all the new buttons and run/walk my way to a 5K.
Tune in tomorrow – another Valentine’s Day gift is set to arrive.

I can't stop...

My mom and I packed up Natalie today and headed for clean air and shopping in Park City. We decided to stop at the outlets and see what we could find to buy. We started at the top and wandered into Old Navy. I found a bunch of cute things on the clearance rack and was happy to find out they were an additional 50% off! YEA - score.

Next stop was The Children's Place, where to my surprise and glee I found the same additional 50% off clearance sale going on. I wasted no time getting to the clearance racks and found bunches and bunches of wonderful outfits. Natalie now has a bunch of new clothes to wear, in addition to a few outfits to grow into.

I found two adorable holiday dresses that I couldn't leave without, three new pairs of shoes (two boots and one set of fancy dancy shoes), one pair of tights, three pairs of socks, two rompers, one fleece jacket, a hat and sweater set, two turtleneck shirts, three long sleeved onesies, one pair of jeans, one pair of cords, a pair of sweats and cute pink shirt, a corduroy outfit, and a jean romper. I can't wait to dress her up. I think we are going to have to start changing her two times a day to make sure she can wear all her outfits.

Can you have too much of a good thing?

Can one little girl have too many outfits? That is a question I ask when I look in Natalie’s closet. It is overwhelming…and it isn’t just the closet, there is a basket by her crib that holds all her night clothes, a chest of drawers that is full and on top of that a basket of socks and booties.

In addition to clothes, she has a bunch of shoes. And being that I love shoes, I’m sure she will have even more in the coming years. I think we have 13 so far and that doesn’t include all the booties she has.

Yesterday I decided to sort her onesies into like colors and sizes and found six pairs of pants that I forgot she had – SIX! In addition to all the clothes that her Auntie Ashley sent to her, I have spent too much time in the baby department of every store I go to. I can’t help it. The clothes are so cute and so is she, so shop I will.

Frozen Solid

I’m overjoyed! Overjoyed because my Valentines Day present came today, it is sitting in my garage right now.

You’re probably thinking, “they bought a new car?” NO, what is sitting in my garage is even cooler (I can’t resist a good pun). It is a stand up, manual defrost, 17.1 cubic feet freezer! It is white and has a lock and fits perfectly.
I have wanted a freezer since we moved into our house and now I have one. I’ve transferred almost all the food out of our inside freezer into the new outside freezer. It was wonderful, oh so wonderful!
I can’t wait for my next trip to Costco. Just the thought of all the meat and frozen food I’m going to buy sends shivers down my back. Who knew such joy could come from a freezer? I did, that’s who!

Seriously??

Why is she still there? I know Damien had a lower weight loss percentage than Joelle, but why keep her and send him home?

Biggest Loser contestants....I wonder what you are thinking. I imagine you kept Joelle because she will be easier to beat in the long run and because you are waiting for Carla to come back - that is going to be fun to watch. I guess you had the at home viewer in mind when you kept Joelle. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt - for now...

Not what I want to hear

I watch “The Biggest Loser”, it isn’t that I need any encouragement to lose those “baby” pounds, I just like watching it. Well, I should say I used to like watching it. Now I hate it, but I continue to watch – like a train wreck I can’t turn away from. You might be thinking, wait it is only in the second week, why do you have such a distaste for it? It is all because of one word, one woman…Joelle. Yep, that’s right there is a contestant named Joelle.

So, while I’m trying to enjoy the show and maybe get some inspiration to jump on the treadmill, trainer Bob is yelling at Joelle to work harder and stop complaining. She is all talk and no action – she only lost 2 pounds last week and somehow she wasn’t kicked off the show. I’m hoping she is sent home next week so I don’t have to keep hearing my name.

A little bit of background

On many occasions I’ve thought about writing a blog. Thoughts like, “I’m so funny I should share this with the world” often float through my mind while thinking of a blog. Funny things happen and I think “this would make a great blog post”. Now that I have a blog, I hope that I am funny and my experiences make great blog posts. I guess you will all be able to judge that.

That being said, here is a little background on me and the family. Phil, my hubby, and I met at work and literally started dating after a coworker said to me “Joelle, you go out to bars and Phil goes out to bars maybe you should ask him to go to a bar with you”. Made perfect sense to me and the rest has made good sense too.

We got engaged in Cancun after I used my beer-chugging skills to win a contest and Phil was over-whelmed with joy, dropped to his knees and proposed! I accepted, we got married nine months later, and moved into our house eight months later.

After a wonderful (seriously, I was so healthy and never sick) pregnancy and one of the easiest births in history, Natalie Elizabeth was born in November and we couldn’t be happier!

Now that everyone is caught up we can get on with the new posts…I’ll update you on Natalie, Phil and everything else that is going on around us. Hope you find it as funny as I think it is.

And so it begins….

Hello everyone. I've been a blog stalker for a while and now it's time to allow people to stalk me.

I was introduced to the blog world by my friend, Frances. She has a great blog and was my daily entertainment for months. I learned that Miranda had a blog and so began my stalking… Now I’ve had a baby and in the words of my friend Liz, “you have to have a blog if you have a baby”.

So I’ve jumped on the blog-wagon and started writing. I hope to stay on track and post frequently. For now enjoy the catch up posts and hope for more!
